A Unique, Effective Approach to Pro-Life

Changing people’s hearts and minds about abortion and euthanasia takes more than bumper stickers, photographs, and 30 second ads. While those approaches are important and help toward the overall goal, they aren’t effective at rooting out the destructive attitudes and beliefs that many people have absorbed from an unhealthy culture that has been chipping away at their souls for years.

If we want to reorient people’s entire lives towards the principles that lead to pro-life convictions and effect a permanent culture-wide change, we must patiently work with people to first see and embrace their own dignified meaning and purpose in life. Then we must help them understand and embrace fundamental and universal principles of truth, ethics, and justice. And finally, we must help them consistently apply those principles to the life issues.

Some people can watch a 30 second television ad or see a picture of an unborn child and be transformed forever. But for most of us, it takes weeks, months, and even years of education, asking questions, working through issues, reflection, inspiration, grace, and more education.

It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.

At Healing the Culture, this is our life’s work. We’re not dismayed by the commitment of time that is required to convert people on pro-life issues. We’re inspired by it. We provide the tools and guidance that people need to learn these life principles, grow with them, absorb them into their very being, and make them their own. We’ve spent years testing our approach, and we know it works. Those who oppose the dignity and value of human life have no defense against a well-formed conscience and a well-educated mind. When enough people have made the deep and lasting transformation that occurs with real conversion and healing, we will have a culture of life.

“Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil…and because it had no root, it withered away. … Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” Mark 4:5-8
