Camille Pauley, M.A.
Co-founder, President, and Vice-Chair of the Board
Mrs. Pauley is co-founder of Healing the Culture, and the founder of Being With© and Compatior Institute©. In 1993, she co-founded the Center for Life Principles and served as its Director until 2003. She was Director of Education for Human Life of Washington from 1993 to 2003. Mrs. Pauley has trained hundreds of speakers for the pro-life movement, spoken for thousands of audiences, designed several retreat programs for adults and teenagers, guest-hosted several radio and television programs, co-produced five video series, and published dozens of articles. She is the primary author of the Principles and Choices Pro-Life High school Curriculum. Longer Bio / Introduction
Michael Pauley
Director of Communication
Mr. Pauley attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and while studying there co-founded American Collegians for Life, a national student pro-life group. Michael worked as a legislative aide and press secretary for U.S. Congressman Chris Smith, the Chairman of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus. He has worked as a political consultant for campaigns in 15 different states, ranging from state legislature to U.S. Senate. In his home state of Alaska, Michael helped draft several pro-life laws, and was instrumental in winning passage of Alaska's state constitutional amendment protecting marriage.
Lisa-Ann Oliver
Director of Administration and Activities
Mrs. Oliver is also a youth speaker for Healing the Culture and has spoken to hundreds of junior high and high school students. She spent 20 years as a paralegal and law office manager in Bellevue and Seattle, Washington. For four years, she was a Court Appointed Special Advocate for King County Superior Court in parenting and custody disputes. Lisa-Ann has been an instructor of faith formation for 22 years in the Archdiocese of Seattle, and is actively involved in her parish's Respect Life Community. Her interests include quilting and cooking, and she is a long-suffering fan of the Seattle Mariners.
Kaelen Burton
Executive Assistant
Kaelen is interested in all activities pro-life. She attained a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Washington in 2010. While at the UW, she was the Public Relations Officer for Students for Human Life at UW, working with the Center for Bioethical Reform and became involved with 40 Days for Life. Starting in 2010, Kaelen became the co-director for Seattle 40 Days for Life. Her interests include playing the Scottish Highland bagpipes, hiking and looking at rocks, and attending Mariners baseball games.
Michael Friedline
Development Consultant
Michael has devoted his career serving in leadership positions with non-profit organizations working to stop injustice and improve opportunities for the poor. Beginning in program development and management, he has focused on fundraising and communications for the last 18 years. In that time he and his teams have raised over $100 million dollars for human services, international relief, education, community dev elopement, and the environment. Michael is the principle consultant for Non-Profit Advantage based in Shoreline, WA where he lives with his wife, Vicki, and their three children.

Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., Ph.D.
Co-founder and Chairman of the Board
Fr. Spitzer is co-founder of Healing the Culture, and founder and president of Magis Institute and Spitzer Center for Ethical Leadership. He served as President of Gonzaga University from 1998-2009. Fr. Spitzer has as spoken to thousands of audiences, and has done ethics consulting for over 300 organizations, including Boeing, Caterpillar, Toyota, Costco, the British Prime Minister's Cabinet, the leadership of Costa Rica, Protestant and Catholic leadership in Northern Ireland, and the Orthodox Church in Russia. The mission of Healing the Culture is based on the principles in Fr. Spitzer's books, Healing the Culture: A Commonsense Philosophy of Happiness, Freedom, and the Life Issues, and Ten Universal Principles: A Brief Philosophy of the Life Issues.
Dirk Bartram, J.D., M.B.A.
Secretary of the Board of Directors
Mr. Bartram is a business lawyer and principal at the Seattle law firm of Henke Bartram PLLC. He has practiced law in the Seattle area since 1986. He is a speaker for Healing the Culture, and for the Center for Life Principles. Mr. Bartram is a former U.S. Army officer and recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal.
Richard T. Black, J.D.
Member of the Board of Directors
Mr. Black is a registered patent attorney and founding member of Black Lowe & Graham, PLLC. His practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patents, trademarks, and copyrights. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1988, earning a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Construction Management. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago in 1991. He has lectured on intellectual property to hundreds of industry leaders and attorneys from around the world.
Gellert Dornay
Member of the Board of Directors
Mr. Dornay is the Chief Executive Officer of Axia Financial and leads the development and execution of the company's strategic plans and objectives. He is a co-founder of the company and was instrumental for making Axia Financial a strong independent Northwest mortgage banker. Prior to Axia Financial, Gellert provided facilitated the development of Java Trading Co. into a leading global specialty coffee roaster. He and his wife Elizabeth live on Mercer Island with their eight children.
Corey Huber
Member of the Board of Directors
Mr. Huber was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington. In 1979 he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Computer Science from the University of Washington. One year later, he married his wife, Katherine. He worked in software development for a variety of employers for 20 years. In 2003 he and his wife began the operation of what is now the St. Joseph Debt Relief Grant Program of the Mater Ecclesiae Fund for Vocations. To date that program has issued 86 grants (60 of which are still in force) that have enabled men and women to begin their formation in religious life in spite of their student debt.

Richard G. Thrasher
Member of the Board of Directors
Mr. Thrasher is the Vice-President/General Manager in charge of all business operations for the Washington and Alaska markets for Enterprise Rent A Car and Enterprise Fleet Management. Rich earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Cal Poly Pomona University in 1986. Rich has over twenty years experience in business development, marketing, management and operations. Rich and his wife Julie live in Sammamish Washington and have nine children.
Professional Volunteers
Mark Cerasuolo is our volunteer advisor of marketing and business development, and was director of the 2008 Healing the Culture Conference & Expo. Mark's corporate and business experience includes marketing management roles at the Leviton Manufacturing Company, Harman International, and Bose Corporation. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in Marketing Anthropology, and studied business at the University of Washington.
Kathleen Glasgow graduated from Trinity Western University and Redeemer Pacific College in Langley, BC Canada in 2010. She has worked with faith formation and youth ministries at the parishes of St. Mark and St. Brendan. She is a regular volunteer at Healing the Culture.
