Last month, we were blessed to receive the above email message from a visitor to our website (www.healingtheculture.com). We frequently receive communications from exasperated parents and youth leaders who are grateful for our unique and holistic approach to pro-life issues.
When you first visit our website, it's obvious that we're about more than just abortion and euthanasia education. We're about inspiring people to live for really worthy life goals. We're about ennobling people to make healthy, holy, and courageous choices -- choices that allow people to live out God's image in their lives. We're about encouraging positive counter-attitudes to the lies of the pro-choice movement, and leading people to real peace, happiness, and freedom. We're about offering useful, life-changing tools which assist educators, pastors, youth leaders, parents, and others as they work to instill honor and virtue in the people they serve.
Monica, the author of the quotation above, is right! Thanks to your support, and the talented skills of our staff and consultants, our website IS a great resource, and continues to grow in size, scope, and outreach. We're delighted to see so many people making use of the information and tools that we provide with your support.
Every month, we receive thousands of hits from visitors all over the United States, and even all over the world, including the England, Japan, Denmark, Egypt, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates.
Recently, we received a message from one of these visitors who was so moved by our website, that she decided to share her own painful story with us. Her words are so profound, that we have included most of her text, unedited, below:
I really enjoyed your website and glad too see so many people are fighting abortion. I had an abortion 34 years ago. I would not suggest anyone go through this at all. I recently gave my life to Christ, and only now can I speak out. The pain and loss that I have felt all of these years has been horrible. I began to drink excessively and did for many years because I felt the pain would go away if I drank enough. I developed eating disorders and everything else with this. When people think this is a way to get rid of a problem in their life, they need to think again. There is not a day that has gone by that I wish I could redo my actions, but I can not. I know Christ has forgiven but it is so hard to forgive yourself. You would think after that many years you would not think about it but you do.
Now that I have Jesus in my life it is easier, however keep the message going because the pain that is suffered after abortion is not just a year, but is a lifetime of regrets and sorrow. Keep up the good work telling women there are choices that will not destroy their lives. -- Johnnie
It is heartbreaking to hear the woundedness this woman has suffered for so many years. Her words have inspired our entire team to work even harder to win the hearts and minds of every person who is vulnerable to the lies of the "pro-choice" attack
